TP-LINK Hails GITEX 2014 Participation a Success

SOHO and SMB networking solutions maker anticipates continued growth of its product offerings in MENA

TP-LINK Technologies has hailed its participation at GITEX Technology Week 2014, the Middle East biggest IT expo a success.

Denny Liang, General Manager, TP-LINK Middle East, said this year’s participation at the biggest technology show in the region was a success for the company as several initiatives lined up during the expo achieved the objectives. “We conducted several product demo sessions explaining to visitors about our networking and wireless products for home and small office use,” he said. “We were also able to interact with our channel partners and there were a lot of leads generated, which we are hoping to close during the course of the fourth quarter.”

He also explained that in the period between January and September 2014, TP-LINK increased its sales revenue by 30% in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) compare to the same period in 2013. “We are particularly encouraged by this continued year-on-year growth following our entry into the Middle East market in 2011.”

Liang said TP-LINK’s 30% sales increase has been achieved despite some markets in the region experiencing political instability and civil strife. “This success can be attributed to the hard work the TP-LINK team, distribution and reseller partners have put in to grow the brand in the networking and wireless segment. “This is one of the best periods in the networking sector in the Middle East as more infrastructure and broadband is being rolled out across the region,” he remarked. “As more people get broadband Internet connection, demand for high performance wireless networking solutions, which TP-LINK is providing in the market will continue to grow,” he noted.

Liang added that TP-Link already has a strong presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and now is expanding to entire African.
