Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, stressed the importance of technological developments witnessed by various government entities in Sharjah. He confirmed the need to keep abreast of global technological advances, which would reflect positively on performance in general and help to improve services provided to the community. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi was speaking during his visit to Sharjah’s pavilion at GITEX Technology Week 2017. The Chairman of Sharjah Media Council looked at the latest innovations, initiatives and smart applications unveiled by 48 Sharjah government entities taking part in the event at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi expressed his appreciation for Sharjah’s participation in the exhibition, lauding the efforts of government entities in the emirate towards full digital transformation in harmony with the vision of pioneering technological progress. He pointed to the initiatives adopted by Sharjah in supporting talents and innovation, improving productivity and building bridges of direct communication with the public, thereby enhancing the emirate’s position as a key business destination.
The Chairman of Sharjah Media Council commended the efforts of Sharjah eGovernment, which runs the emirate’s pavilion at GITEX 2017 as part of its role to provide the latest solutions for linking government departments and entities and achieving digital transformation across various government services to the citizens and residents of the Emirate.
