The Ministry of Interior (MOI), Saudi Arabia is participating in the GITEX Technology Week for the third time and this year with 14 sectors. MOI is here to showcase the strength of innovative applications used throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of the digital transformation agenda 2020. The sectors representing include the general administration for cable and wireless communications, General Agency for Regional Affairs, Civil Affairs, Public Security, Civil Defense Cyber Security Centre and so on. The Ministry of Interior is at the show to showcase various initiatives and technological solutions.
“One of our platforms is digital identity which is a national system to provide identity for all the citizens. And people get the chance to gain identity from the trusted environment which is the ministry of interior,” says Colonel Naji Mohammed Alkahtani, National Digital Identity Program Manager for the Ministry of Interior, Saudi Arabia. Commenting on the last 3 days at GITEX, Mr. Naji witnessed 3000 and 3500 visitors on the first and second day of the show simultaneously. “We have 10 initiatives and by next year some or all of them should be under production. Many customers are interested in products and we look to participate at GITEX every year.”
